Met Gala 2012: Hair and Make up

I could not just stop at one post, I had to write this one too. The hair and make up of the stars on the Met Gala 2012 caught my attention and shook the make up obsessed in me !

What I have noticed in the stars' make up is that most of them wore it pretty nude, and some wore the smokey eyes, others opted for the dark lips:  I had many favorites here they are:

Kate Bosworth pinned her hair up in a tight braided bun to show off her feathered halter dress. The complementary deep burgundy lipstick was on-trend for the lip color of the night.

Ginnifer Goodwin's sharp pixie cut and dramatic eyes give her modern poise and femininity. To create the mixed metal eyeshadow application, try applying gold shadow near the tear duct and inner lid. Then, fill in the upper crease and lower lash line with a deep bronze shadow. A thin line of liquid liner on the top lids and mascara finish the look.

Short blunt bangs look edgy, but when they're chopped into just a bit, like Marion Cotillard's, the result is gamine-chic all the way. Add a subtle smoky eye for an instant touch of Parisian elegance.

At the Met Gala, Cate Blanchett proves that the nude makeup trend is still going strong (and that's a good thing). Amp up the look for a night out by adding a cat-eye with liquid liner. You can't fail with this simpleeyeliner trick.

Camilla Belle went with a classic vamp look, pairing her Ralph Lauren gown with a dark burgundy lip color she custom blended herself.

Sometimes the best accessory is a little gold . . . eye shadow, that is. That's just what Solange Knowles wore to accentuate her vibrant yellow Rachel Roy frock. And her full, natural hair? Gorgeous.

Lea Michelle went for a perfect nude lips and a gorgeous smokey eyes

Jessica Alba set off her Michael Kors gold gown with a deep red lipstick and flowing sideswept waves. At home, use hot rollers to get a similar 1930s-inspired set.

Dianna Agron captured elegant Hollywood glamour with her wavy bob and jade Carolina Herrera gown. Makeup artist Georgie Eisdell created Dianna's sexy eye look by using Chanel's Illusion D'Ombre eye shadow in Ebloui on her eyelid, blending it along the natural crease of her eye for a smoky effect; a bit went under the eye, too. To make her eyes stand out more, she lined Dianna's eyelids with Chanel's Illusion D'Ombre eyeshadow in Mirifique.
These were my favorite hair and make up styles for the MET GALA 2012, what are yours?
